Pool Rules

The Board of Trustees requires all members to read and familiarize themselves, their families and any guests, with the pool rules and policies

POOL HOURS: Regular Pool Hours will be 12:30pm to 8:00pm (changes at the discretion of the lifeguards and Board)

Definition of Terms:

Non-swimmer: One who cannot swim two lengths of the pool

Swimmer: One who can swim two lengths of the pool to the satisfaction of   the lifeguard

Safety & Health

  • All children, swimmers or non-swimmers, under age 13 must be accompanied by an adult at all times
  • Children who are non-swimmers must be closely supervised by an adult while in the main pool
  • All children using the kiddie pool must be closely supervised by an adult
  • Non-swimmers shall not be allowed on the diving board or in the deep end at any time
  • Only qualified swimmers may swim in the deep end or use the diving board – Please refer to our Deep End Wristband Policy
  • Diving allowed only in the diving area – diving from the side of the pool is prohibited
  • Only one person at a time shall be allowed on the diving board
  • No running, pushing, or other “horseplay” allowed
  • No large flotation devices allowed in the pool (i.e. rafts, large tubes)
  • No flotation devices (noodles, kickboards, tubes, swimmies) allowed in the diving area
  • It is required that you towel dry and wear shoes to play shuffleboard
  • Everyone shall shower before using the pool
  • Persons with communicable diseases and/or open wounds shall not enter the pool, do not use the pool if you are experiencing or recovering from diarrhea or have or had any symptoms of stomach disease in the past 7 days
  • Expectorating or blowing of nose in the pool is prohibited
  • Proper attire is required in the main and kiddie pools
  • All children in diapers must wear plastic pants with snug fitting elastic waist and leg bands, do not wash out soiled diapers in bathing water
  • No smoking in the pool area
  • No pets are allowed inside the fenced area
  • Gum chewing at the pool is prohibited
  • No one may enter the enclosed pool area when the pool is closed, except for designated, approved activities

GLASS

Broken glass within the fenced in area would require us to close the pool for several weeks and would require fees to clean and remediate, therefore Glass containers are prohibited, at all times, in the fenced in area (cannot even be in your cooler). Glass may be used ONLY in the patio area.  Glass containers include, but are not limited to – beer and wine bottles, Pyrex dishes, salad bottles, ceramic bowls etc.

GUEST POLICY

Guests are always welcome as long as they are accompanied by a member.  All guests must sign in before entering the pool and sign that they have reviewed our pool rules and will abide by them.  The same guest is welcome to attend the pool up to 6 times per season. Abuse or violation of the Guest Policy will be reviewed by the Board and may result in fines.

LIFEGUARDS & RULE ENFORCEMENT

  • The lifeguards shall enforce all rules of and take immediate disciplinary action when required  (If members notice any infractions, please report same to the lifeguards)
  • Lifeguards may ban children from the pool for up to one week for behavior not in accordance with sound pool practices
  • Parents will be notified by the Board of Trustees if their child has been banned from the pool for one day or longer
  • A written letter will be sent by the Board if a member’s child has been banned for two or more days
  • Parents who wish to question the disciplining of their children should contact Board members directly, not the lifeguards

ADULT SWIM

A 15 minute adult swim may be called at the discretion of the Lifeguards

All persons must abide by the Alcoholic Beverage Consumption Policy as set forth in the By-Laws.

All persons using the pool do so at their own risk.  The Association will not be responsible for any accident or injury in connection with the use of the pool or its facilities.  The Association will not be responsible for loss or damage to personal property.

These rules may be revised, modified or expanded at any time by the Board of Trustees. (revised 2/18)
